The Continues Team

  • Allen Brooks - Founder, CEO

After his mom managed to get a Super Nintendo for Christmas 1991, Allen never looked back. Games are where he found community, found friends, and was able to dive into worlds unknown for decades. The magic of a night spent with great friends around great games and great food is what he is hoping Continues can bring EVERY night to Alexandria.

Allen is a sitting board member of the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce, the Christopher Newport University Education Foundation, and Heard Alexandria. He is also a member of the National Chamber of Commerce Small Business Council. He has worked in startups, was a producer at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, ran a high school theater program, and was (briefly) a professional actor.

He has designed games, played games, and talked about games, a lot.

    Favorite Game of ALL TIME:
The Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past

  • Doug Bauer - Co-founder, CFO

In the early 1990’s, there was only one thing on everyone’s mind in Pittsburgh: Hockey.  Everything changed when the first NHL Hockey game came out for the Sega Genesis.  Doug created a hockey draft, full season and playoffs for every kid in the neighborhood.  He was being exposed to a whole new style of community, and LOVED it!

Doug spent over 20 years as a leader in the Financial Management & Budget career fields in the Air Force.  He is a disabled combat veteran that was promoted last year to Primary Care Giver for two not so little kids.  He studied at WVU for Business and received his MBA in Entrepreneurship.  Starting a successful small business has been his dream since his undergrad days.

Doug is an Accredited Investor and currently pursuing the coursework toward a designation as a Certified Financial Planner.  He loves the Pittsburgh Steelers (NFL) & Pittsburgh Penguins (NHL).
